Actor Kim Nam-gil was appointed as an honorary police officer to commemorate the 75th anniversary of 'Scientific Investigation Day'.

Kim Nam-gil was awarded an honorary police commission letter at the 75th anniversary 'Scientific Investigation Day' ceremony on the 3rd.

Kim Nam-gil was appointed as an honorary police officer on the same day in recognition of his contribution to promoting scientific investigation activities through the drama "Through the Darkness". Kim Nam-gil won the SBS Acting Award that year with favorable reviews, playing Song Ha-yeong, whose motif is Professor Kwon Il-yong, the nation's No. 1 profiler, in "Through the Darkness".

Kim Nam-gil, who was commissioned as an honorary police officer, said, "I only played the role of Professor Kwon Il-yong in the drama "Through the Darkness" and it is an honor to be with him in such a precious place. While filming the drama, I learned how important the scientific investigation is and that those involved in the scientific investigation work with a sense of duty and responsibility to protect the safety and life of all of us.
